🏰 Gates
Vehicle and pedestrian gate systems that protect your community while keeping access simple for residents and staff.
Why This Matters for Your Leasing Office
Gate entry is often the first touchpoint a prospective resident has with your community — and the system your current residents interact with every single day. A gate that’s slow, unreliable, or confusing creates a terrible first impression and generates constant maintenance complaints. Worse, a gate that’s stuck open defeats the entire purpose of having one. Telesco designs, installs, and maintains vehicle and pedestrian gate access systems for apartment communities across San Antonio, Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Houston, and Houston, and Houston. We handle everything from the gate operator hardware to the telephone entry system, access cards, and remote management — so your gates work reliably and your leasing staff isn’t fielding calls about broken entry systems.
What’s Included
Telesco installs and services a full range of gate systems: sliding gates, swing gates, barrier arms, and pedestrian gates with electronic locks. Every installation includes a gate operator (motor and controller), a telephone entry system or video intercom that connects to your leasing office phone system, and your choice of access methods — proximity cards, key fobs, PIN codes, or smartphone-based entry. We integrate gate systems with your security cameras so every entry and exit is recorded. For properties with multiple entry points, we set up centralized management so your leasing office controls all gates from one system. We also install vehicle loop detectors, safety edges, and photo eyes to meet UL 325 safety standards and prevent gate-related injuries.
How We Work
Tim Blount evaluates your property’s entry points, traffic flow, and existing infrastructure before recommending a gate solution. We coordinate with gate fabricators and general contractors if new gate structures are needed, then handle all of the access control electronics, phone entry integration, and programming. After installation, Telesco programs resident access credentials, trains your leasing staff on the management software, and provides ongoing support. When a gate motor fails or a call-box stops working, we respond quickly — because a gate that doesn’t open means residents can’t get home, and a gate that doesn’t close means your property isn’t secure.
Common Scenarios We Solve
Aging gate systems with telephone entry panels that still use analog phone lines. Properties where the gate call-box rings to a line that nobody answers after hours. Communities upgrading from basic key-card entry to smartphone-based access with visitor management. Gates that break down repeatedly because the operator hardware was undersized for the traffic volume. New construction projects that need gate access designed and installed from scratch. Telesco has handled them all, and every system we install is backed by our direct, ongoing support.
